OVERVIEW
This journey through Jordan begins in Amman, where you explore historical and natural wonders. The tour includes a visit to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities, and the scenic Ajloun Nature Reserve and Castle. You then journey to the Desert Castles, marveling at early Islamic architecture before relaxing at the Dead Sea.
The adventure continues with a hike in the Mujib Nature Reserve and an exploration of the diverse landscapes in Dana. You visit Shobak Castle and head to the iconic Petra, exploring its ancient rock-carved architecture. The trip also includes a stop at Little Petra and an exhilarating jeep tour in the dramatic desert landscapes of Wadi Rum.

Day 2 : Amman – Jerash – Ajloun Nature Reserve – Amman
After breakfast, transfer to visit Jerash, a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, Churches, temples and the vast Roman Forum. The best-preserved Roman City Gerasa, which is called Jerash today, and known also as the city of 1.000 pillars. The city golden age come under the Roman rule and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Hidden for centuries in sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, Jerash revels a fine example of the grand, formal provincial urbanism that is found throughout the Middle East.
Continue to Ajloun Nature reserve for a nice short trail inside the reserve (Roe Deer Trail) This short circular trail starts at the campsite and offers great views over the reserve. Not far from the campsite you will find an old stone wine press. Then drive to visit Ajloun Castle that was built by one of Saladin's generals in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun. Ajloun Castle dominated the three main routes leading to the Jordan Valley and protected the trade and commercial routes between Jordan and Syria; it became an important link in the defensive chain against the Crusaders, who, unsuccessfully spent decades trying to capture the castle and the nearby village. Day 3 : Amman – Desert Castles (Kharranah, Amra, Azraq) – Dead Sea
After breakfast, drive east of Amman towards the Desert Castles. Visit the fortress -like Qasr el-Kharaneh & the charming bathhouse complex of Qasr Amra. Then, continue to visit the marvelous castle of Azraq. Jordan’s desert castles, beautiful examples of both early Islamic art and architecture. A fine mosaic and frescoes, stone and stucco carvings inspired by the best Persian and Greco – Roman traditions. Called castles because of their imposing statue, the desert complexes actually served various purposes as caravan stations, agriculture and trade centers, resort pavilions and outposts.
Continue to the lowest spot-on earth, 398m (1306 ft.) below sea level - the Dead Sea. Time for leisure and swimming. Enjoy the bizarre but delightful experience of floating" on the surface of buoyant waters, nine times saltier than regular sea water.

Day 4 : Dead Sea – Al Mujib Nature Reserve – Dana
After breakfast, Free morning in the Dead Sea, Transfer to Mujib Nature Reserve, located within the deep Wadi Mujib gorge that enters the Dead Sea at 410m (1,345 ft.) below sea level, is the lowest altitude nature reserve in the world. Furthermore, the Mujib Reserve enjoys a 1.3km (0.8mile) variation in elevation between its different parts, as it extends to the Karak and Madaba mountains to the south and north, which reach 900m (2,952 ft.) above sea level in some places. Hiking in Wadi Mujib for 2 -3 hours.
Continue South to Dana nature Reserve, Jordan’s largest nature reserve, covering some 320 square kilometers of spectacular mountains and Wadis along the face of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 5 : Dana Biosphere reserve – Shobak – Petra
After breakfast, start to explore Dana Nature Reserve. Dana offers a vast diversity of landscapes; there are wooded highlands, rocky slopes, sand dunes and stony deserts. Hiking for 2- 3 hours, accompanied by a tour guide. Continue to visit Shobak castle, Once called “Le Krak de Montreal”, Shobak refers to the castle as well as to its surrounding group of ten villages. The castle is located less than an hour’s drive north of Petra, and was inhabited till the 1950s. It is perched on the side of a mountain, with a grand sweep of fruit trees below. Built during the crusader times, 894 years ago, Shobak castle appears as a natural extension of a dramatic hill.

Day 6 : Petra Visit
After breakfast, visit the Red Rose city of Petra, which was carved out of the solid Rock before about 2000 years ago by the Arab Nabateans. Start the tour on foot passing by the fascinating narrow gorge (the Siq), which is about one kilometer long and eighty meters high. Once of a sudden you will be facing Petra’s most famous monument the Treasury (el -Khazneh). Free time to explore the site.

Day 7 : Petra – Little Petra – Wadi Rum
Breakfast at the hotel, drive to visit Little Petra (Known as Siq el bared) an ancient city similar to the famous Petra, only on a much smaller scale. The structures carved in the rock face are still impressive, the views of the
mountainous landscape are wonderful.
Continue to Wadi Rum, one of the world’s most colorful landscapes of desert and mountain scenery & unique desert. A tour through Wadi Rum colored sands by Bedouin four -wheel drive vehicles for two hours.

Day 8 : Wadi Rum (jeep tour) – Amman
Optional early morning (05:30 am) flight on the Hot Air balloon above the amazing desert of Wadi Rum.
After breakfast at the camp, drive northwards to Amman.

Day 9 : Amman – Q.A.I airport for departure
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia Int'l airport for departure.
