BEST OF UGANDA SAFARI
Day 1 : Arrival Entebbe Airport and transfer to hotel (- / - / D)
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our office representative who will then take you to your hotel.
Overnight at Hotel No.5 (high end) and 2 Friends Beach Hotel (Mid range)

Day 2 : Kampala - Murchison Falls (6 hours drive) (B / L / D)
You will be picked up from your hotel and begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and, travel to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project. A visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking is a must. After lunch drive to Murchison Falls. Enjoy the sunset.
Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (High end) and Pakuba Safari Lodge (Mid range).

Day 3 : Murchison Falls (B / L / D)
Begin the day with a cup of African Coffee. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron".
En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob crocodile. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. There you leave the boat and start your - quite heavy - hike to the Top of the Falls (approx. 1 hour). See where the world's longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you to bring you back to the lodge.

Day 4 : Boat Cruise to the delta and Nature walk (B / L / D)
Have an early morning breakfast, get on the boat cruise to the delta. It is an amazing boat cruise to see the animals on the shores of the Victoria Nile like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, antelopes, also many birds most especially the rare shoebill stork. You will also see the delta, the point where the Victoria Nile meets the Albert Nile which continues to the White Nile.
Later drive back to the lodge and evening will be spent on the nature walk around the areas in the park with your armed ranger guide.

Day 5 : Murchison Falls - Kibale Forest National Park (7 hours drive) (B / L / D)
All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.
Overnight at Chimpundu Lodge (High end facility) and Turacco Treetops Mid range).

Day 6 : Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi community walk (B / L / D)
In the morning you will have breakfast then transfer to Kibale Head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed.
In the afternoon, you will head for Bigodi Wetland nature walk to see unique flora and fauna. It is a community-based conservation and tourism project located in Magombe swamp. this area is recognized for a extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primates species like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black & white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey with various bird species. Clients will also see the women projects around the area.

Day 7 : Cultural treat and community exploration in Queen Elizabeth National Park (B / L / D)
After breakfast head for cultural treat which involves full immerse of clients in both the cultural and marine practice of the community for half day tour. This involves taking participating in how milking is done in Uganda, escorting cattle in the bush within the community parameters, how milk is used to make local yoghurt and finally getting ghee.
Later, we slope to the landing site to engage in the marine practices of the community, the traditional fish preservation stoves, traditional canoe making demonstrations, proceed for net sawing, a chance to see women making crafts, then to the spot which is the only place in Queen where you can get as close as possible to Hippos, reach the location that has the most beautiful view in the community which clients you will be happy of, and if time allow proceed through the historical swamps in the community and the vacation palace of former king of Tooro. Also, many birds are seen minimum 26 bird species.

Day 8 : Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel which connects the water flow from Lake Edward to Lake George is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular birds. Dinner

Day 9 : Lion tracking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (6 hours drive)
After early morning breakfast, head for Lion tracking which involves following an individual or group of lions in order to learn more about their behavior, feeding habits and social/group dynamics. To take part in the Lion tracking experience, one needs to book in advance because there is a limit to the number of people who may participate in the activity. Lion tracking has three sessions in a day but we shall participate in the early morning session which takes between two to three hours (2-3 hours). The chief tracker or researcher will brief you about the activity and what to expect before you get into vehicles to look for the lions.
Later, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds.

Day 10 : Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on leisure and relaxation at your lodge. Dinner

Day 11 : Batwa trail experience and Coffee tour
After Breakfast, prepare for the Batwa trail experience that leads you to the lives of the ancient people of the forest. They display their hunting skills, harvesting of honey, traditional performances and demonstration of making bamboo cups among others. Learn as they guide you through the forest, dance, sing and storytelling of their traditional ways of farming, handling the bow, gather honey and picking herbal medicine from roots and leaves a local way of treating the local people. The experience shows you how they lived in grass thatched houses, caves, hunted small animals which were used for food. The trail begins with a nature walk, hike through the forest as you learn from the first keepers of the forest this takes half a day.
Later in the afternoon, Compliment the amazing Batwa trail experience at Bwindi National Park with a coffee tour at a local farm in Kisoro district. Spend time with small scale farmers near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Through the coffee-making experience, you will learn how to dig, weed, and harvest organic coffee in a real farming environment. You will get involved and learn about the process from seedlings to the drink/cup. You will be able to take part in picking, pounding, roasting, grinding, and drinking coffee. The skills and knowledge needed by farmers will bring a new appreciation to your coffee drinking habits. Here you take nothing, but the everlasting coffee-making experience. Dinner

Day 12 : Bwindi National Park – Lake Mburo National Park (5 hours drive) (B / L / D)
After your breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park which borders the Tanzanian plains through Mbarara town arriving in time for lunch. After proceed for boat cruise on Lake Mburo to see hippos, Zebras, Elands, Bufallos along the shores and spectacular birds.

Day 13 : Lake Mburo National Park – Entebbe (4.5 hours drive) (B / L / D)
After breakfast, head for Horse riding which is an awesome way to see the wildlife around the park for 2 hours. Without the noise of an engine you can hear so much more and you really feel part of nature. Riding a horse means you often get the chance to see more timid animals including Elands, buffalos, warthog, topi, impala, duiker, bushbuck, waterbuck, zebra as the animals graze where the grass is the most delicious and if you are lucky enough, you can see 2 leopards on a horse ride! However, this was a very rare sighting. Watching animals from a horse is so peaceful and a totally different experience from being on a game drive; zebras come towards you to check out the strange relative without stripes. Even the eland that are usually very shy, look curiously at the horses without running away, but keep their distance.
After lunch you will visit Igongo Cultural centre to explore the cultures of Ankole tribes where the future meets the past. Then after you proceed to Kampala with a stopover at Equator for snacks and photos. Later you will be driven to Entebbe for dinner.

Day 14 : Transfer to Entebbe airport (B / - / -)
