Day 3 : Canggu – Munduk  (B / L / -)

This sightseeing transfer will take you from West Bali to Munduk, via some of the island’s most impressive sights. The first stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jatiluwih. This consists of neat, patterned rice terraces that cling to the side of the hillside. After a short walk alongside the picturesque rice fields, we continue to the mountain village of Bedugul where you will visit a local market and experience local life.

Next, we head to Ulundanu Temple which was built in 1663. This ornate shrine is dedicated to the goddess Dewi Danu, as well as the Hindu gods of Brajma, Vishnu and Shiva. This temple is situated on a small island in the middle of a lake and it appears to simply float on the surface. After lunch, we continue to Munduk, where you can enjoy a short walk to a nearby waterfall, before the drive to your hotel for overnight.

Dinner is to your own arrangement.

Overnight in Munduk

Day 4 : Munduk - Tembok (B / - / D)

Local villages, temples and hot springs are the focus of today. After checking out of the hotel, you will be driven east to the fishing village of Tembok. The local boats, called jukung can be seen in the mornings as the villagers bring in the fresh catches of the day. Inland, you will see the verdant paddy fields dominating the landscape with a backdrop of green. This sightseeing transfer will take in a number of fascinating sites, with the first stop being at Banjar Hot Springs where you can enjoy some time bathing in the relaxing pools. They are centuries-old but have been upgraded with modern facilities over time and the hot water provides a therapeutic experience thanks to the sulphur content.

After enjoying some time here, we continue to a Buddhist temple and spend some time for reflection in the holy grounds.

Lunch is to your own arrangement.

Dinner and Overnight in Tembok

Day 5 : Tembok : Free at own leisure (B / L / D)

Enjoy a complimentary 50-minute spa treatment per couple and other extra treatments (surcharge applies) at the Spa Village during your stay. At 4.30 pm, we join in a blessing ceremony and purification ritual administered by the village priest. This is a great activity for newlyweds to participate in and a highlight for guests who are resident at the hotel.

Lunch, dinner and overnight in Tembok

Day 6 : Tembok – Sidemen (B / L / -)

Learn how to cook like a local and stop by a water temple on this inspirational sightseeing transfer. The journey will take approximately seven hours and includes some fascinating stops along the way.

We drive towards Amlapura and stop at Bali Asli Restaurant where your chef will teach you how to prepare an authentic Balinese meal. The restaurant supports locals who fish, farm and forage in the surrounding area and you will taste the freshest food. You will be given step-by-step instruction into the creation of authentic and traditional Balinese-style dish and use wood fire and mud brick stoves to bring out the true taste of Bali.

After enjoying your self-created lunch, we continue driving towards Sidemen, with a stop at the Taman Soekasada Ujung Water Palace, a former palace in Karangasem Regency. This elegant site features pools, ponds, tiered gardens and scenic views of the mountains and the sea.

Dinner is to your own arrangements.

Overnight in Sidemen

Day 7 : Sidemen – Sukawati (B / - / D)

Enjoy the morning in Sidemen at your leisure before being met by your driver and guide and transferred back to the East coast of Bali. In Sidemen you will get an authentic feel of village life and among other sights, you will see lush rice fields and local craftspeople at work.

On the way to the East coast of the island, we will stop at Taman Kertha Gosa, the ‘Hall of Justice,’ which was effectively the supreme court of the Klungkung Kingdom. Here you will see examples of the Klungkung style of painting and architecture on some superb ceiling murals.

Then spend the rest of the day in your beautiful hotel to relax and use the facilities.
