DAY 1-2 : TAHITI

Take time to recover from your trip with an overnight transit stay at the Tahiti Airport Motel in an air-conditioned room without meals.

♥ You will like:
- Its panoramic view of the lagoon and the island of Moorea
- The comfort of the rooms
- Its proximity to several shops, restaurants, pharmacy and bus stop.

DAY 2-5 : BORA BORA

Fly to the Pearl of the Pacific: Bora Bora!

After a 45-minutes flight, a shuttle will be waiting for you on the airport islet.

Alice and Raphael welcome you to their guesthouse located on the motu of an old coconut grove for an isolated, sunny and wild getaway.

Take advantage of this isolation to start your D-Tox. Stay for 3 nights in a bungalow with breakfast.

♥ You will like:
- Its authentic charm
- Its white sand beach & private pontoon.
- The chic and uncluttered decoration of your bungalow and its view on the lagoon.

The Tepeva family will take you aboard one of their boats to exceptional preserved sites that they themselves have unearthed, often far from the hustle and bustle of the known tourist sites. Rays, sharks, octopus, lagoon fishes, reefs... it is in a good atmosphere that the son or the father Tepeva will deliver his knowledge. To finish in beauty, have lunch on one of the most beautiful motu of Bora Bora: white sand beach, translucent lagoon and view on Bora Bora. If you are lucky, you will be able to see leopard rays swimming around.

DAY 5-8 : TIKEHAU

Change of scenery... no more mountains on the horizon but the flatness of an atoll where only the coconut palms stand out... Tikehau finally reveals its pink sand.

At 30 minutes by boat from the village, the charming Hakamanu Lodge pension enjoys a privileged and preserved location.

♥ You will like:
- Its total change of scenery
- The swimming in the natural pool of the motu
- The various occupations offered to combine sweet adventure and relaxation.

DAY 8-10 : NORTH FAKARAVA

Direction to another remote atoll of the Tuamotu archipelago: Fakarava.

Upon arrival, discover the northern part of the atoll and join the Pension Fafapiti Lodge for 2 nights in a bungalow and half board.

♥ You will like:
- Its idyllic location
- The feelings of calm and tranquility that emanate from this peaceful place.
- The comfort of your bungalow

DAY 10-12 : SOUTH FAKARAVA

Embark on a 1.5-hour boat ride across the lagoon to the southern atoll of Fakarava.

Enjoy 2 nights at Raimiti Lodge in a Robinson bungalow facing the lagoon with full board. No telephone, no internet, oil lamp in the bungalow! It is the absolute disconnection with the modern world, the total DTOX!

- The “Robinson” atmosphere of this place sublimated by the surrounding nature
- The excellent cuisine of the Chef
- The daily activities included (at the discretion of the pension & depending on the weather)

French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France, is a paradise located in the South Pacific Ocean. Known for its stunning islands, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant culture, it offers a mix of luxury, adventure, and relaxation. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you plan your trip :

Key Islands :

Tahiti : The largest island and the entry point for most travelers. It has a bustling capital, Papeete, markets, museums, and the beautiful black sand beaches of Papenoo.

Bora Bora : Known for its luxury resorts, turquoise lagoon, and overwater bungalows. Perfect for honeymooners and those seeking a high-end experience.

Moorea : Just a short ferry ride from Tahiti, Moorea offers dramatic mountain scenery, lush landscapes, and great snorkeling spots.

Raiatea and Taha’a : These islands share a lagoon and are ideal for sailing, hiking, and exploring vanilla plantations.

Huahine : Known for its lush forests, ancient ruins, and traditional Polynesian culture.

Fakarava : A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, great for diving and exploring its diverse marine life.

When to Visit :

High Season (June to August) : This period has the best weather but also the highest prices and largest crowds.

Shoulder Seasons (April to May, September to October) : Still good weather, fewer tourists, and better prices.

Low Season (November to March) : Rainy season with more humidity, but it’s less crowded and more affordable.

Getting There and Around :

Flights : Most international flights land in Faa’a International Airport in Tahiti. Air Tahiti Nui and Air France are major carriers.

Inter-Island Travel : Air Tahiti offers flights between islands. Ferries and boats are also common, especially between Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora.

Accommodation :

Luxury Resorts : Bora Bora, Tahiti, and Moorea offer high-end resorts with overwater bungalows.

Mid-Range Hotels : Available on most islands, offering comfortable stays without the high price tag of luxury resorts.

Guesthouses and Pensions : For a more authentic experience, consider staying in local guesthouses, which are often more affordable.

Activities :

Water Sports : Snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and paddleboarding are popular due to the clear waters and rich marine life.

Hiking : Trails on Moorea, Tahiti, and Raiatea offer stunning views and a chance to explore the islands' natural beauty.

Cultural Tours : Learn about Polynesian culture, visit ancient marae (temples), and enjoy traditional dance performances.

Relaxation : Enjoy the beaches, spas, and wellness retreats, especially in luxury resorts.

Cuisine :

Local Dishes : Try poisson cru (raw fish salad), ma’a tinito (pork and beans), and firi firi (fried doughnuts).

Fruits : Fresh tropical fruits like pineapple, mango, and coconut are abundant.

Dining : Options range from high-end restaurants in resorts to local food trucks (roulottes) offering delicious and affordable meals.

Practical Tips :

Currency : The local currency is the French Pacific Franc (XPF).

Language : French and Tahitian are the official languages. English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

Health and Safety : Tap water is safe to drink in most areas, but bottled water is recommended on some islands. Mosquito repellent is advised to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses.

Connectivity : Wi-Fi is available in most hotels and resorts, but can be limited on remote islands.

Cultural Etiquette :

Respect for Traditions : Show respect for local customs and traditions. When visiting marae, dress modestly and follow any posted guidelines.

Greetings : A friendly "ia orana" (hello) goes a long way.

French Polynesia offers a mix of luxury, adventure, and cultural experiences. Whether you’re looking to relax on a beach, explore underwater worlds, or immerse yourself in local culture, this tropical paradise has something for everyone.
