Day 1 : Arrival in Kigali  (- / - / D)

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative who will transfer you to the hotel that has been booked for your dinner.

Overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel (Luxury) or Hotel Chezlando (Mid-range)

Day 2 : Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park (2.5 hours’ drive)  (B / L / D)

Today, after your relaxed morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by your safari guide head for Kigali City tour, visit the Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honors the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. You will be able to watch and listen to some video clips from some of the survivors of the incident, visit Kimironko market and craft shops and later drive to Ruhengeri – Volcanoes National Park which is the home of mountain gorillas in Rwanda. Ruhengeri is located approximately 80 km from Kigali. On your arrival at the park, check-in at the lodge, have dinner.

Day 3 : Golden Monkey trekking & cultural experience  (B / L / D)

Today after you warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing and start off you day golden monkey trekking. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though no so hectic like gorilla trekking. You will later return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, ready for a village foot safari, to explore the indigenous local life with a taste of the traditional performance at Iby Iwacu cultural center.

Day 4 : Boat trip on Lake Kivu, coffee tour (B / L / D)

After a delightful relaxed breakfast in the morning, you will head for a sun rise boat trip on LakeKivu, which is roughly a two hours’ boat trip to explore this beautiful Lake and its numerous islands, you will as well be able to spot a number of birds as well as visit one of the island, you will proceed with the boat to Kimbiri for coffee experience, where you have a crop to cup coffee tour. Later return and drive to Nyungwe with en route lunch.

Day 5 : Lake Kivu – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (5 hours’ drive) (B / L / D)

 After breakfast, drive to Bwindi as you enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known of to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the land border of Cyanika or Katuna. Drive by the lakes of (Ruhondo and Bulera) arriving at Bwindi in the afternoon. The evening is spent on sightseeing and relaxing around the hotel.

Day 6 : BWINDI - Gorilla Trekking (B / L / D)

Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 a.m with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort.

Day 7 : Batwa trail experience and Coffee tour 

After Breakfast, prepare for the Batwa trail experience that leads you to the lives of the ancient people of the forest. They display their hunting skills, harvesting of honey, traditional performances and demonstration of making bamboo cups among others. Learn as they guide you through the forest, dance, sing and storytelling of their traditional ways of farming, handling the bow, gather honey and picking herbal medicine from roots and leaves a local way of treating the local people. The experience shows you how they lived in grass thatched houses, caves, hunted small animals which were used for food. The trail begins with a nature walk, hike through the forest as you learn from the first keepers of the forest this takes half a day.

Later in the afternoon, Compliment the amazing Batwa trail experience at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a coffee tour at a local farm in Kisoro district. Spend time with small scale farmers near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Through the coffee-making experience, you will learn how to dig, weed, and harvest organic coffee in a real farming environment.  You will get involved and learn about the process from seedlings to the drink/cup. You will be able to take part in picking, pounding, roasting, grinding, and drinking coffee. The skills and knowledge needed by farmers will bring a new appreciation to your coffee drinking habits.  Here you take nothing, but the everlasting coffee-making experience.

Day 8 : Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi (3 hours’ drive) (B / L / D)

After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi for the morning boat trip for sightseeing and birding along Lake Bunyonyi. Feel the wonders of nature as you will see big terraced hills, big valleys, and 29 islands which Lake Bunyonyi is known of with great history.  

Overnight and meals at Birdnest Resort Lake Bunyonyi (Luxury) or Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort (Mid-range)

Day 9 : Lake Bunyonyi – Queen Elizabeth National Park (6 hours’ drive) (B / L / D)

After breakfast, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha sector in search of tree clubbing lions. It is also an opportunity to see other many animals like Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs with many birds.

Day 10 : Queen Elizabeth Park (B / L / D)

Dawn game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo.

Day 11 : Transfer to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzee trekking (3 hours’ drive) (B / L / D)

After breakfast drive to Kibale National Park, which is well known for Chimpanzee trekking in the entire Africa?  Upon your arrival in the afternoon you will have breakfast then transfer to Kibale Headquarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed. M

Day 12 : Kibale National Park – Kampala (7 hours’ drive) (B / L / D)

After breakfast, drive to Kampala via Mbarara to Igongo Cultural Village to explore the life style and the culture of the Ankole and Bahima people; it is at Igongo center where the future meets the past. With lunch en-route and stop over at Equator Uganda before proceeding to Kampala for dinner.

Day 13 : Transfer to Entebbe Airport
