OVERVIEW

This journey begins in Manila, where you’ll stay at a charming vintage boutique hotel and explore the city’s blend of historic and modern attractions. A guided tour highlights Manila’s diverse architecture, from ancient churches to contemporary structures. The next leg takes you to Tagaytay, where you’ll experience the stunning views of Taal Volcano and visit cultural landmarks like the Bamboo Organ and Sarao Jeepney Factory. You'll then travel to Laoag and Vigan, where you’ll explore heritage sites, colonial architecture, and traditional crafts. After returning to Manila, the adventure continues to Coron, a tropical paradise in Palawan, perfect for relaxation and diving.

Day 1 : Manila

The Henry Hotel is a boutique property, with old 1930s vintage houses converted into a hotel. It is situated 15 – 20 mins away from the international airport. It is very lovely , warm and charming.

Day 2 : Manila (B / L / -)

Breakfast at the hotel.

09h00 Pick up at the lobby of the hotel. Proceed to Manila City Tour with lunch.

Today you will spend all day with your driver and guide exploring Manila: a mix of the old and the new - from ancient Spanish churches to gleaming high-rise structures, quaint street stalls and modern shopping malls, historical landmarks to pulsating clubs and bars. Start with the financial district of Makati where you will see the first international airport terminal in the Philippines (now a popular trendy restaurant called Blackbird) including Fort Bonifacio and the American Cemetery.

From there, move on to the main city of Manila, the country’s capital. Arrive at Rizal Park, named in honour of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. After a brief picture stop, proceed to the historic Walled City of Intramuros. Travel through the cobbled streets of San Agustin Church, the country’s oldest stone church and view its wide collection of ecclesiastical icons, vestments and other religious articles. Across it is Casa Manila, a reproduction of 19th century house equipped with Oriental and European decor, as well as Philippine antique furniture.

Continue on to Fort Santiago, Manila’s main line of defense against invaders from the sea. It is a stone fort guarding the entrance to the city from Manila Bay. It has been the site of many tragic moments in Philippine history.

Return to hotel.

Day 3 : Tagaytay (B / L / -)

Depart to Tagaytay for approximately 2 hours.

Tagaytay, located on a ridge 2,250 ft. above sea level, is a leisurely 60km drive South of Manila, through small coastal villages and towns, rice fields, tropical fruit orchards and coconut plantations. Tagaytay offers a breathtaking view of one of the world's strangest wonders - Taal Volcano - a volcano within a volcano, and a lake within a lake.

This 2-hour drive stops briefly at the Las Piñas Church, home of the world famous Bamboo pipe organ, and the Sarao Jeepney Factory - two examples of Philippine ingenuity and culture applied to western engineering. Lunch will be at a local restaurant, with its maginificent views overlooking the volcano lake.

The tour continues after lunch to Heritage Village of Taal, a historic town with deep roots in the Spanish colonial period and a vital part of the Independence Movement and Revolution. Visit the Basilica de St Martin de Tours (the largest Catholic church in Asia) and the Agoncillo residence where the first official Philippine flag was sewn and embroidered..

After tour, transfer to hotel. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 4 : Laoag (B / L / D)

12h00 Check out. Pick up at the lobby of the hotel. Drive to the domestic airport for flight to Laoag. (Approx. 2-3 hours)

18h05 Arrival in Laoag airport, meet by our local representative, transfer to hotel.

Day 5 : Laoag (B / L / D)

07h00 Pick up time at the hotel for Vigan and Laoag Tour.

Start the tour of the Heritage Village of Vigan. One of the 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Philippines. The Heritage Village is known for its well preserved old stone houses (bahay na Bato) made from hard adobe stones. The spacious interior of these houses showcase handcrafted period furniture and accessories.

Visit the Pagburnayan or Jar Making Factory, skilfully crafted by the potter’s hands with the use of pottery wheel and kiln. Fine sand is used to temper the clay. Once fashioned into the desired shape, it is placed inside high-temperature ground kilns made from brick and clay. Proceed to “Abel Weaving” a Vigan traditional craft. Abel cloth is a traditional woven product in Vigan known for its durablity and beauty. Many families hand abel cloth down to younger generations as heirlooms.

After the weaving, they will be brought to Bantay church and Bell tower. Bantay Bell Tower is a glorious brick edifice that stands lonely on a green hill overlooking Bantay, a municipality northeast of Vigan. From the church, guest will board a Kalesa (horse drawn cart) going to Café Leona for lunch.

Back to the hotel.

Day 6 : Laoag - Manila (B / L / D)

07h00 Check out. Pick up at the hotel. Depart hotel for Laoag Tour.

Proceed to Cape Bojeador which is the highest elevated, still original, and active lighthouse in the country built during the Spanish occupation. Witness the breath-taking view of the town by the sea where early galleons used to pass by. After the light house, Make a stop at Kapurpurawan rock formation. it is located on the rocky coast of Burgos, Ilocos Norte. It is known for its creamy white and streamlined limestone formations, which have been sculpted by different oceanic and weather forces. Burgos is located on the northwestern tip of Ilocos Norte. Travel back to Laoag City for lunch.

After lunch, continue exploring Laoag.

Proceed to Sta. Monica Church in Sarrat. It is commonly known as the Sarrat Church, is a Roman Catholic parish church in Barangay San Leandro, Poblacion, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. It was built in 1779 and was originally known as San Miguel Church. The Santa Monica Church complex includes the convent connected to the church by an elevated three-level brick stairway. After short visit, proceed to St. Williams Cathedral and the Sinking Bell Tower. First built in 1612, the church is known for its Italian Renaissance design. The bell tower, located 85 meter away from its church, is said to be sinking at a rate of an inch per year because it was built on sandy foundations despite its size and mass.

After the churches, a short visit to Taoid Museum will be made. Taoid means a shared heritage. The purpose of this museum is to showcase the Cordillera culture and of its many tribes as well as to give the visitor an understanding of their way of life, rituals and cosmology. It also highlights the relationship of both the upland Cordillera with the lowland Ilocanos who are not only trading partners but stewards of these important geographic areas. If time permits, visit La Paz Sand Dunes.

Transfer to airport for flight back to Manila.
