Langtang Valley Trek Adventure: Exploring Natural Beauty and Cultural Delights
Day 01 : Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport Kathmandu
We will meet you at the airport. Our office delegate can be identified by the company placard he will be carrying. He will then escort you to the hotel, where we will hold a brief meeting to discuss the trek. There are no other scheduled activities for the day, so you are free to spend the rest of the day as you wish.
Day 02 : Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1462m/4795ft) Distance – 130 KM, Driving
Duration: 7 Hours
The trek to Langtang Valley begins with a private drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi. We travel along the highway, following the Trishuli River. Along the way, we pass through Dhunche, where we can enjoy a clear view of Ganesh Himal. As we continue the route, we can admire the surrounding areas’ terraced farmlands and lush green hills.
The road becomes off-road after lunche, and this terrain persists until we reach Syabru Bensi.

Day 03 : Trek to Lama Hotel (2500m/8200ft) Walking Distance – 11 to 12 km, Duration: 5 hours
After breakfast, we will prepare ourselves for a 5-hour-long hike along the banks of the Bhote Koshi River and Langtang Khola, crossing several suspension bridges. Our trek will take us past the landslide zone towards Bamboo (1960m) and then onwards to Ramche (2400m). Throughout the journey, we will be surrounded by beautiful forests and enchanting waterfalls. If we’re fortunate, we may even have the chance to encounter creatures such as the Red Panda and Rhesus Monkey.
Continuing along the trail, we will reach Gumanechok, a small settlement where Lama Hotel is located. We will spend the night there.

Day 04: Trek to Mundu (3543 m/11621 ft ) via Langtang Village, Walking Distance – 7-8 km, Duration: 6 hours
On the following day, we depart from Lama Hotel and embark on a six-hour trek along the Langtang River. Throughout the journey, we are accompanied by the majestic view of Langtang Lirung. Our path takes us toward Ghoda Tabela (3000m), a farm where ponies and donkeys reside. Continuing our trek, we walk through the forested area and pass by various huts until we reach the checkpoint.
As we progress, we traverse vast yak pasturelands, witnessing yaks grazing and resting along the way. We also come across Tamang settlements adorned with Buddhist prayer flags and chortens.
After crossing the river, we arrive at Langtang Village, situated at an elevation of 3500m. We push forward until we reach Mundu, where we will spend the night close to the mountains.

Day 05 : Trek to Kyanjing Gompa (3798m/12495ft) Walking Distance – 6-7 km, Duration: 3-4 hours
We will wake up early in the morning and begin our trek to Sindum. Afterwards, we will proceed towards Yamphu. Along the way, we will cross suspension bridges over the Laja Khola River.
Following the river bank, we will trek up to Kyanjin Gompa, where we will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Langtang Lirung and its magnificent ice formations.
Throughout our journey to Kyanjin Gompa, we will be surrounded by majestic mountains, making our trek trulyworthwhile.

Day 06 : Hike to Chorkari Ri (5050m/16564ft) Walking Distance – 14 km (Round Trips)
Duration : 6-7 hours
This day marks the major highlight of the Langtang Valley Trek, offering a relaxing and enriching experience at the traditional Kyanjin Gompa. The day is dedicated to exploring the monastery and visiting the cheese factory, where we can indulge in the delightful flavors of Yak cheese.
Later, we will embark on a 7-hour hike towards the majestic Chorkari Ri (5050m) (Optional Hike), providing breathtaking views of the Langtang peak and captivating us with its ethereal beauty.
After this mesmerizing experience, we will return to the village, where we will spend the night cherishing the memories of this incredible journey.
Alternatively, if you are tired of the long hike, you may choose to climb Kyanging Ri instead of Chorkari. It offers a similar view and can be completed within approximately 4 hours, covering a distance of around 7-8 kilometres for the round trip.

Day 07 : Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2500m/8200ft) Walking Distance – 14-15 km
Duration: 5-6 Hours
Today, we are returning to Lama Hotel. The journey back will be a 5-6 hour trek, which will amaze us with its ease as the path descends downhill. The hike that took us 2 days to complete will now be finished in just a day. However, we need to be cautious as the trail does become
steep.

Day 08 : Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1462m/4795ft); Duration: 5-6 hours
We will advance from Lama Hotel to Syabru Bensi. This will be another simple trek downward of around 5-6 hours. Be careful on the way down.

Day 09 : Drive Back to Kathmandu
Leaving behind the tranquillity of Syabru Bensi, we will embark on the journey back to Kathmandu, where our adventure first began.

Our representatives shall be at your hotel approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight to drive you to the airport. We hope this trek has been an unforgettable memory. We will send you off with hopes of meeting again.
