OVERVIEW
This journey begins with an arrival in Yangon, where you’ll visit the iconic Shwedagon Pagoda, immersing yourself in Myanmar’s vibrant spiritual culture. You then travel to Heho and drive to Kalaw, exploring local markets, heritage sites, and stunning mountain views. From there, you continue to Nyaung Shwe and embark on a boat journey on the serene Inle Lake, discovering monasteries and the sacred Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda.
The adventure proceeds to Taunggyi and the Kakku Pagodas, where you explore traditional villages and the area's natural beauty. Returning to Yangon, you visit the Chaukhtatgyi Buddha, Kandawgyi Park, and historic sites, concluding with a walk along the bustling Yangon River before departing.
Day 1 : Yangon Arrival
Arrive at Yangon International Airport and be warmly greeted by your tour guide in the arrival hall.
After transferring to your hotel to freshen up, you’ll embark on an evening visit to the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda. Revered as the spiritual heart of Buddhist Myanmar, this magnificent site features a golden stupa believed to be 2,500 years old, surrounded by an array of intricately decorated buildings and statues. The pagoda buzzes with the activity of local people engaged in prayer and making offerings, creating a captivating atmosphere for you to immerse yourself in the vibrant spiritual life of Myanmar.
Overnight in Yangon
Day 2 : Yangon – Heho – Kalaw (B / - / -)
Transfer to Yangon domestic airport for your departure flight to Heho. Upon arrival to Heho, drive to Kalaw. Firstly, visit to Kalaw local market, where the people from surrounding villages come and sell the fresh fruits and vegetables. This is one of the best places to explore the local ways of life. Enjoy the Shan traditional noodle at the market. Proceed to the clock tower area and then visit to Kalaw railway station, one of the heritage sites in the town.
Afternoon, drive to Hnee Paya, the oldest and most important Buddha Shrine in Kalaw. From there, drive to Palaung Taung viewpoint area and enjoy the stunning view of mountains and plantation fields. Finally, back to your hotel.

Day 3 : Kalaw – Nyaung Shwe – Inle Lake (B / - / -)
After breakfast, drive to Nyaung Shwe where Inle Lake located. On the way stop at the monastery built of teak Shweyanpyay, where you can admire intricate wood carvings and craftsmanship objects of the monks.
Get into your private long-tail boat to explore the charm of Inle Lake. Over 20 km. long and more than 10 km. wide, and at 875 m. above sea level, the calm waters of the lake contrast sharp with the surrounding high hills as a backdrop. Visit by boat to visit Nga Phe Kyaung, primarily of interest for its extensive collection of Buddha images made of different materials, and in various styles and sizes.
Next, visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in southern Shan State. Its five uniquely shaped, gilded, but relatively small images are carried around the lake by boat during the annual Inle Boat Procession (usually in the period September / October). Then, transfer to Mine Thauk Bridge, half of the village of Maing Thauk is set on dry land, while the other half sits on stilts over the water, linked to the shore by a 450yd wooden bridge. Finally, back to your hotel.

Overnight in Inle/Nyaung Shwe
Day 4 : Inle – Nyaung Shwe – Taunggyi – Kakku – Inle (B / - / -)
Today, leave from your hotel at 8am and drive up through the hills to Taunggyi, capital of Southern Shan State and a former British hill station (35km, estimate 1hr drive), by passing Shwe Nyaung, main railway station town of Shan State. Upon arrival to Taunggyi, first visit the Taunggyi local market and explore their ways of life. From there, visit to Sulamuni Pagoda, Taunggyi’s most eminent religious site, the huge white temple complex has a gilded corncob stupa that pays tribute to the Ananda Temple in Bagan.
Drive through 38 km estimate 1.5hr, to south to discover the Kakku Pagodas, also known as “Mwe Taw Kakku”. The entire region of Kakku is covered by Pa-O villages and boasts of beautiful natural landscape where the Pagodas and temples can be seen. Proceed to Shwe Phone Pwint Pagoda; ridge top pagoda to the south of town has dizzying views over Taunggyi and Inle Lake. Pleasant sounds of the bell from top of pagoda were swing with fresh air.
From there, directly drive to Nyaung Shwe and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Inle / Nyaung Shwe
Day 5 : Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Yangon (B / - / -)
Transfer to Heho airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival to Yangon, first visit to Chaukhtatgyi. It houses one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in the country. The Buddha image is 66 metres long, and one of the largest in Burma. Then, visit to Kandawgyi. It offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the best places to relax and take some great photos of Karaweik hall and across the lake towards the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda.
After that, drive to The Secretariat building for renovation tour. Your “insider’s” journey through The Secretariat Yangon will take you to see the stately interior of the historic Yangon Parliament House.
Continue sightseeing of Yangon, walk along Yangon River to see the busy harbour area, from where ferries leave for Pathein in the Delta and for upcountry towns along the Ayeyarwaddy River.
