This journey begins in Yangon, where you'll explore the iconic Shwedagon Pagoda, a spiritual and cultural landmark of Myanmar. From there, you'll fly to Bagan, a region known for its ancient temples and captivating sunsets on the Ayeyarwaddy River. A visit to a hidden village and Mount Popa offers a glimpse into local traditions and stunning landscapes.
In Mandalay, you’ll experience the city’s rich heritage with visits to monasteries, silk weaving workshops, and significant pagodas, including a sunset view from Mandalay Hill. The tour returns to Yangon, where you'll visit more cultural sites like the Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha, the Secretariat building, and the serene Kandawgyi Lake before your departure, concluding a memorable exploration of Myanmar’s vibrant history and spirituality.
Day 1 : Yangon Arrival
Arrive at Yangon International Airport and be welcomed by your tour guide in the arrival hall. You’ll then transfer to your hotel for a chance to refresh.
In the evening, explore the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda, a true icon of Buddhist Myanmar. Its golden stupa, thought to be 2,500 years old, stands as the spiritual heart of the country. The pagoda is surrounded by an array of beautifully decorated buildings and statues. You’ll witness many locals engaging in prayer and making offerings, providing a captivating opportunity to observe and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere.
Overnight in Yangon
Day 2 : Yangon – Bagan – Sunset boat ride (B / - / -)
Transfer to Yangon domestic airport for your departure flight to Bagan. Start with the famous temples such as Shwezigon, Ananda and Thatbyinnyu. In the afternoon, continue to the Myinkaba area and Gubyaukgyi Temple with its fine stuccowork. Next, stop at Dhammayangyi, a massive-looking temple dating from 1170 which is famous for its interlocking mortar less brickwork. Stop at a popular lacquer ware workshop producing this most famous of Bagan handicrafts.
Afternoon around 4:30pm (upon seasonal weather), transfer to jetty to take private sunset boat ride. Traditional local teak boat will sail upstream for 30mins and then back to downstream (engine-off at that time) and you can enjoy a beautiful Bagan sunset on the Ayeyarwaddy River peacefully. While sailing, you can enjoy soft drink or beer.
After your sunset boat tour, you will be returned back to jetty and then drive you to hotel.

Day 3 : Bagan – Hidden Village – Popa – Bagan (B / L / -)
OPTIONAL: Soar above Bagan and witness its enchanting landscape from a bird’s-eye view. Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel or cruise. At the launch site, professional and licensed expat pilots will brief you over a cup of coffee or tea.
The flight typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on weather and wind conditions. After a smooth and skillful landing in an open field or near the Ayeyarwaddy River, you’ll be greeted by your ground crew with a glass of champagne, a light breakfast featuring croissants, Danish rolls, fresh fruit, and coffee or tea. You’ll also receive a personalized certificate commemorating your unforgettable hot-air balloon adventure over one of Southeast Asia’s most stunning vistas.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing Bagan for a 1-hour drive to Set Set Yo village. This hidden gem is renowned for its traditional hairstyles: YaungPaySu for boys and ZayitWine for girls. Discover the unique hairdressing techniques and explore the villagers’ way of life.
Next, drive to Mount Popa, which stands 1,518 meters high. Your visit will focus on Popa Taungkalat, a 737-meter high peak formed from an extinct volcano. Enjoy lunch with spectacular views of Popa and Taungkalat from the terrace of the Popa Mountain Resort. Finally, transfer back to your hotel in Bagan.

Day 4 : Bagan – Mandalay (250km (Driving hour: 5-6hrs) (B / - / -)
After breakfast at hotel, your driver will pick up and start your overland transfer to Mandalay.
Upon arrival to Mandalay, transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 : Mandalay – Amarapura – Mandalay (B / - / -)
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Drive to Amarapura, “City of Immortality”, 11 km. south of Mandalay. First visit to Mahagandayon monastery, residence to approx. 1,000 monks. Around 10.15 – 10.30 they have their last meal of the day, as after 12 noon monks fast till the next morning. After that, drive to one of silk weaving workshops and explore how they do. Proceed to U Bein Bridge, 1.6km long wooden bridge said to be the longest teak bridge in the world.
In the afternoon, visit to Maha Muni. It is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Myanmar. Then, drive to a workshop and explore how gold leaf is beaten into wafer thin pieces which will ornate many of Mandalay’s holy images. Continue to Kuthodaw Pagoda, frequently called the 'world’s largest book', a collection of 729 white-washed small stupas housing the Buddhist Scriptures inscribed on marble slabs.
Finally, drive to Mandalay hill and enjoy the panoramic view of Mandalay. Transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Mandalay
Day 6 : Mandalay – Yangon (B / - / -)
Transfer to Mandalay airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival to Yangon, first visit to Chaukhtatgyi. It houses one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in the country. The Buddha image is 66 metres long, and one of the largest in Burma. Then, visit to Kandawgyi Royal Lake. It offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the best places to relax and take some great photos of Karaweik hall and across the lake towards the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda.
After that, drive to The Secretariat building for renovation tour. Your “insider’s” journey through The Secretariat Yangon will take you to see the stately interior of the historic Yangon Parliament House. Explore the Botahtaung Pagoda and there have Buddha sacred hair relic. Continue sightseeing of Yangon, walk along Yangon River to see the busy harbour area, from where ferries leave for Pathein in the Delta and for upcountry towns along the Ayeyarwaddy River.
Enjoy dinner at local restaurant.
