OVERVIEW

This journey through Jordan begins with explore the city's ancient sites, including the Citadel and Roman Theater, followed by a visit to the Desert Castles. You'll then venture to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities, and explore the historical Ajloun Castle. Next, relax at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, before visiting Mount Nebo, Madaba, and the Ma’in Hot Springs.

The adventure continues with stops at Um Al Rassas and the Crusader castle of Kerak before heading to the iconic city of Petra, where you’ll wander through the Siq to discover the Treasury. Afterward, you’ll travel to the stunning Wadi Rum desert for a jeep tour and then to Aqaba for snorkeling and beach leisure on the Red Sea.

Day 01 : Arrival Day

Arrive to Queen Alia International Airport. Meet, Assist & Transfer to your hotel in Amman.

Day 02 : Amman City Tour – Desert Castles (Kharraneh, Amra & Azraq Castle) – Amman

After breakfast, tour the city of Amman starting with the downtown area, the oldest part of Amman, which is crowned by the Citadel, which offers a panoramic view of the whole city. Here one can also see the ancient ruins of the Temple of Hercules that dates back to (AD 161 – 180), the Byzantine Church, and the fascinating Archaeological Museum which houses an excellent collection of the antiquities of Jordan. At the foot of the Citadel is the 2nd century AD Roman Theater, still used today for cultural events.

Drive east of Amman towards the Desert Castles. Visit the fortress -like Qasr elKharaneh & the charming bathhouse complex of Qasr Amra. Then, continue to visit the marvelous castle of Azraq. Back to Amman.

Overnight in Amman

Day 03 : Amman – Jerash – Ajloun – Amman

Breakfast at the hotel, drive Transfer to Jerash, the best-preserved Roman city of the Decapolis. Entering the city through the monumental South Gate, one comes upon the lovely Oval Plaza, the Temple of Zeus, and the South Theater, which seats more than 3,000 spectators. Walking through the Colonnaded Street, one can see the Market Place, the Omayyad residential quarter, a 4th century AD cathedral, St. Theodore’s Church, the Nymphaeum, and the North Theater.

Continue to visit Ajloun. Ajloun is a hilly town in the north of Jordan. It is noted for its impressive ruins of a 12th -century castle, known now as Ajl oun Castle that was built by one of Saladin's generals in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun . Ajloun Castle dominated the three main routes leading to the Jordan Valley and protected the trade and commercial routes between Jordan and Syria; it became an important link in the defensive chain against the Crusaders, who, unsuccessfully spent decades trying to capture the castle and the nea rby village .

Day 04 : Amman – Dead Sea

Breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Dead Sea (the lowest point on the earth) to enjoy swimming and floating on its salty water

Day 05 : Dead Sea – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Ma’in

After breakfast, drive to visit Mount Nebo, which dates back to the time of the Prophet Moses, around the 12th century BC. Visit the remains of the mosaic floors with stunning designs that feature hunting and pastoral scenes, found in the small church, built by the early Christians in t he 4th century AD.

Continue to Madaba, home of the most famous Byzantine mosaics. Visit the greatest and most significant of all the city’s treasures, the wonderful mosaic map of ancient Palestine, which is located on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Churc h of St. George. Drive to Ma’in Hot Springs, a glorious hot spring waterfall situated near the Dead Sea & 30 kilometers from the city of Madaba, visitors can find themselves relaxing beside the Ma’in waterfall and gazing up at the stunning mountainous back drop.

Day 06 : Ma’in – Um AL Rassas - Kerak – Petra

After breakfast . Drive to visit Um Al Rassas, an important archaeological site that was declared a World heritage site in 2004. Continue to Kerak, where you will visit its imposing Crusader castle. Drive to Petra.

Day 07 : Petra Visit

Breakfast at the hotel, full day to visit the most famous and gorgeous site in Jordan. Petra is the world wonder and undoubtedly Jordan's most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction, and it is visited by tourists from all over the world. It is n ot known precisely when Petra was built, but the city began to prosper as the capital of the Nabataean Empire from the 1st century BC, which grew rich through trade in frankincense, myrrh,
and spices. It was carved out of the solid Rock before about 2000 y ears ago by the Arab Nabateans. Start the tour on foot pass ing by the fascinating narrow gorge (the Siq), which is about one kilometer long and eighty meters high. Once of a sudden you will be facing Petra’s most famous monument the Treasury (el -Khazneh), free time to explore the site

Day 08 : Petra – Wadi Rum

Breakfast at the hotel, drive to Wadi Rum (Valley of the Moon), lies in the far south of Jordan, set on a high plateau at the western edge of the Arabian desert. Gargantuan rock formations, rippled sand dunes, and clear night skies create an almost fairy -tale setting across an unpopulated area. This is truly the “reddest” part of Jordan, colored by iron oxide, and by far the most dramatic in terms of landscape . Jeep tour for 2 hours through Wadi Rum colored sands by Bedouin four -wheel drive vehicles.

Day 09 : Wadi Rum – Aqaba

Breakfast at the hotel, drive to Aqaba. Aqaba is a fun place. It is a microcosm of all the good things Jordan has to offer, including a fascinating history with some outstanding sites, excellent hotels and activities, superb visitor facilities, good shopping, and welcoming, friendly people, but perhaps Aqaba's greatest asset is the Red Sea itself. Here you can experience some of the best snorkeling in the world. The temperate climate and gentle water currents have created a perfect environment for the growth of corals and marine life.

Day 10 : Aqaba Free

Breakfast at the hotel, Free time for leisure on the beach for relaxing or you can enjoy a variety of water sports

Day 11 : Aqaba –Amman

Breakfast at the hotel, free time for leisure on the beach. Afternoon drive back toward Amman.

Day 12 : Amman – Departure

Breakfast at the hotel, Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for final departure.
