OVERVIEW
The adventure takes you to the ancient ruins of Umm Qais, offering stunning views over the Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee. You'll visit Anjara's Shrine of Our Lady of the Mountain and the site believed to be the birthplace of Prophet Elijah at Mar Elias. The next part of the journey includes a visit to Bethany beyond the Jordan, where Jesus was baptized, and a stop at Mount Nebo, the traditional burial place of Moses. You'll explore Madaba's famous mosaics and the remote ruins of Mukawir, known for its biblical history. Traveling south, you'll visit Um Ar Rasas, a UNESCO site with remarkable mosaics, and the Crusader castle at Kerak before reaching Petra. Discover the iconic red rose city, exploring its narrow Siq and magnificent monuments like the Treasury and the Royal Tombs. The trip continues to the Dead Sea, with a stop at Lot’s Cave, before enjoying the unique experience of floating in its salty waters.
Day 1 : Amman Airport - Amman Hotel

Day 2 : Amman Hotel - Umm Quais - Anjara - Tell Mar Elias - Amman Hotel
Today drive to Gadara, known as Umm Qais. This is the place where the Biblical miracle of the Gadarene swine took place. In Umm Qais you see ruins of theatres, a Colonnaded Street and have an overwhelming view over the northern Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee. Proceed to Anjara to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of the Mountain. Onto Mar Elias, believed to be the birthplace of Prophet Elijah. See a few remains of a Byzantine church.

Day 3 : Amman Hotel - Baptism Site - Mt Nebo - Madaba - Mukawir - Amman Hotel
Drive down to the Jordan Valley, to Bethany beyond the Jordan, where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. Next stop is Mt Nebo, considered as burial place of Prophet Moses. Onto the town of Madaba. See the famous 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine at St. George’s Church and more mosaics in the Archaeological Park. Drive through a remote landscape to Mukawir. After a walk, see the few remains of Herod’s the Great hilltop castle, where John the Baptist was imprisoned and executed.

Day 4 : Um Ar Rasas - Kerak Castle - Petra Hotel
Check out of the hotel and start traveling southwards. Visit Um Ar Rasas, one of Jordan’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Highlight of this excavation site is the mosaic floor of the Church of St Stephen from 785. Not far way, we pass by a Stylite tower. The structure is witness to the practice of ascetic monks, who spend their life at the top of a pillar. Next stop is the Crusader Castle in Kerak.

Day 5 : Petra Visit - Lot’s Cave - Dead Sea Hotel
Visit the highlight of Jordan, the red rose city Petra! Petra was founded around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs. Pass the narrow canyon, the so-called Siq, with its colourful sandstone. At the end you will be rewarded with a view of the most beautiful monument, the Treasury.
Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. Journey to the Dead Sea. Along the way stop at Lot’s Cave where Lot took refuge with his daughters after the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Day 6 : Dead Sea Hotel - Amman Airport
If time permits, chance to float on the salty waters and free time at the beach at the lowest point on earth.
Transfer to Amman Airport to say farewell.
