DAY 1 : ARRIVAL IN VARADERO (- / L / D)

Arrival. Meet & greet at the airport of Varadero by your English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel in Varadero.

Accommodation with all inclusive : Hotel Paradisus Vardero 4*, Standard Room (AI)

DAY 2 : VARADERO – PLAYA GIRON – CIENFUEGOS (270 KM) (B / - / D)

After breakfast you leave Varadero on a scenic drive to Central Cuba and the legendary Bay of Pigs. Time to do some snorkelling or just relax on the beach of “Cueva de los Pesces”. You will also visit the “Museum de la Invasión” at Playa Girón, which gives you detailed information about the failed Bay-of-Pig Invasion of 1961.

Around afternoon, you will continue to the picturesque colonial town, Cienfuegos. You will walk over the main square “Parque Marti” with its French colonial architecture and the nostalgic “Terry Theatre”, where already Caruso and Sarah Bernhardt performed on stage. You continue to "Punta Gorda", Cienfuegos´ peninsula and the mudejar-style Palacio del Valle, where you will have dinner in a typical Cuban restaurant situated by the sea e.g. private paladar "Villa Lagarto" or "Camila´s“.

DAY 3 : CIENFUEGOS - TRINIDAD (90 KM) (B / L / D)

Early in the morning visit of the “Botanical Garden” nearby Cienfuegos which contains over 200 species of tropical plants. Continue your nature-themed day with a guided hike through “El Nicho” National Park, with the possibility to swim in refreshing natural pools beneath waterfalls. After a rustic lunch continue to the colonial city of Trinidad, where you’ll spend 2 nights.

Dinner at a nice private restaurant, e.g. Paladar “Guitarra Mia”.

DAY 4 : TRINIDAD (B / - / D)

Today you will discover the lovely colonial town Trinidad, Cuba’s best preserved colonial city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A walking tour will take you through the old town with its cobbled streets and “Plaza Mayor”, surrounded by old colonial mansions. Stop at a local bar to try a “Canchánchara” – 19th Century cocktail made of water, lime, honey and rum – Once refreshed, continue on to the “Museo Historico Municipal”, one of Trinidad’s showpiece museums which houses furniture and artefacts from Cuba’s colonial past.

In the evening, visit of the popular “Casa de la Trova” – THE PLACE to be if you would like to dance Salsa or just watch locals and tourists how they dance and celebrate the Cuban lifestyle.

DAY 5 : TRINIDAD – SUGARMILL VALLEY – SANTA CLARA – REMEDIOS (208 KM) (B / L / -)

In the morning, take a trip on a nostalgic, steam-train through Sugar Mill Valley with the Hacienda of the former sugar barons, Iznaga. Panoramic view from the legendary "slave tower". Then drive to Santa Clara, where Ernesto "El Ché" Guevara celebrated his greatest victory and, later found his final resting place.
Visit the “Che Guevara Mausoleum” and “Tren Blindado”, a national monument commemorating the Cuban Revolution. Lunch at Paladar “Finca de Ta”.

In the late afternoon arrival in Remedios, a small colonial town.

Accommodation with breakfast : Colonial Hotel Mascote (3*), Standard Room or at one of the other charming “Encanto” Hotels, e.g. Hotel Barcelona (3*) or Hotel Camino del Principe (3*), all of them at or near the main square. 

*In case the train is out of order/not working, the journey will continue by car.

DAY 6 : REMEDIOS – CAYO SANTA MARIA (90 KM) (B / L / D)

After breakfast, short drive to Cayo Santa Maria and its beautiful beaches.

Lunch will already be prepared in your all-inclusive-hotel where you will stay for 2 nights

DAY 7 : CAYO SANTA MARIA (B / L / D)

Leisure-Time. Relax on the beach and take full advantage of the all-inclusive facilities of your hotel.
