GORILLA AND MASAI MARA SAFARI ADVENTURE
OVERVIEW
You’ll fly to Kihihi Airstrip and head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a community walk. You’ll then embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience, followed by golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga National Park. After returning to Entebbe, you'll fly to Nairobi and journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Over the next few days, you’ll explore the reserve's stunning wildlife, including the Big Five, and witness the incredible wildebeest migration before concluding your safari back in Nairobi.
Day 1 : Arrive at Entebbe Airport - Entebbe Hotel (Approx. 10 -30 mins drive)
On your arrival at Entebbe Airport, your will be met and welcomed by our representative. He will be your tour and driver guide for the rest of the days you will be in the country. After the interaction and brief introduction, you will be transferred to your Hotel in Entebbe for Overnight stay.

Day 2 : Entebbe to Kisoro Airstrip – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Morning pick up from your Hotel in Entebbe and transfer to the Airport for your flight to Kihihi Airstrip. Upon arrival at the Airstrip, you will be welcomed by your Lodge guide who will drive you straight to your Lodge for the rest of the day.
Afternoon participate in the community walk around the park including Buhoma Hospital, Ride 4 a Woman project and the Batwa community. The activities involved include visits to a traditional home, banana brewing with demonstrations of how local Waragi is made, meeting traditional medicinal healers and also visiting the local orphanage and school.
Return to your Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 : Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
The day is finally here for your unforgettable life time experience of meeting face to face with the giant mountain Gorillas. You will start your day with an early breakfast at your lodge and then transfer to the Park headquarters (Depending on which location you have booked your accommodation) for briefing. There are 4 sectors in which Gorilla trekking takes place with in Bwindi Forest. The northern side of the park is comprised of Buhoma and Ruhija Sector and the southern side comprised of Rushaga and Nkuringo sectors.
After Briefing, you will start on your day’s trek. Searching for the gorillas may take like 2-5hrs depending on where they were last spotted the previous day. Once they have been spotted, you will be given one hour to take videos, photos and also get a chance to ask the rangers and the guides any questions about these giant apes. Besides the great Apes, the forest is also a home to other wildlife and bird species such as butterflies, primates, mammals, frogs and so on which all can be seen along the way to the Gorillas.
After seeing the Gorillas, you will be transferred to a lodge near Kisoro town your lodge and retire for the rest of the day.

Day 4 : Golden Monkey Tracking
After your Breakfast you will head Mgahinga national Park offices for your briefing about the morning activity. This time it will be Golden Monkey tracking. These endangered monkey species are found within the Virunga Conservation area (Mgahinga national Park). Unlike the Gorillas, Golden monkey trekking will not take long and are easily located.
Return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation at your lodge for the rest of the day

Day 5 : Bwindi to Entebbe to Nairobi
After your morning breakfast, depending on the time of your domestic flight, you will be driven back to Airstrip by the Lodge guide to catch your flight out of Bwindi back to Entebbe. Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, connect with your flight to Nairobi.
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel for rest and overnight stay.

Day 6 : Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
This morning you journey south to the Masai Mara National Reserve. On arrival you will check in to the camp/lodge for lunch. Spend four nights here to explore, discover and experience the magic and 7th wonder of the world - “Masai Mara Game Reserve’’ a spectacular watch of the immense “Big-Five” Lion, Rhino, Buffaloes, Leopard and Elephant and wildebeest migration from Serengeti-park Tanzania into Masai Mara-Kenya. Expertise and experience of our driver-guides will maximize your chances of seeing all the splendours of Masai Mara and beyond.

Day 7-9 : Explore Masai Mara National Reserve
Early morning Optional balloon ride (USD 480). Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5. Take full advantage of what the Mara has to offer. Choose from a wide range of activities including the optional cultural visits to the local Maasai villages (USD 30) - The Maasai tribe is among the few tribes in Africa whose culture has lasted for years without changes and the locals are jointly living together and who partially contribute to the protection of wildlife and defined cultural tours as well.
Birding can also be done throught the year with the reserve having a record of over 570 species of birds, with more than 50 bird species of prey which include: Eagles, vultures, storks and many others.
The Mara is one of the most famous ecosystems in the world and with reason, this huge expansion is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife, difficult to believe, over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You might be lucky to see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes, and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place.
In dramatic fashion, catch thousands of the great wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and elands, followed by gazelles as they cross over returning to their breeding grounds from Serengeti-Tanzania to Maasai Mara-Kenya between the months of July and October.
Drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 : Maasai Mara Reserve – Nairobi – Depart
After breakfast then check out and head for Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon.
On arrival, have lunch at a local restaurant and later dropped off at the JKIA Airport for onwards flight.
