Discover the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Initially incorporated into the Serengeti National Park, the Area is not a National Park. It was founded in 1959, following a conflict between the National Parks and the Maasai, as a nature reserve to protect a unique wildlife but also as a haven for the Maasai. Its name comes from the warriors of the tribe once living in the crater: the Likorongoros (which was distorted to Ngorongoro by the German colonists). The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers approximately 8288 km2, 890 km2 of which is montane forest covering part of the crater wall. Ngorongoro offers a wide range of habitats: wetlands, grasslands, forests, streams and savannas ... The crater itself covers about 260 km2. A World Heritage Site, it is in fact a caldera, caused by the colapse of a massive volcano nearly 2.5 million years ago.
During the descent into the crater you will enjoy a spectacularly panoramic view of the interior of the crater. Even from the top of the crater wall you'll notice the first large herds as dark spots on the landscape. The crater boasts the largest animal density in Africa with some 20 000 animals including around 55 species of mammals, ostriches, Kori bustards, dwarf flamingos, crowned cranes, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, wildebeest, hartebeest ... all are present. Eland, jackal, black rhino and some servals are also among the principal inhabitants. The Ngorongoro Crater is further home to many predators such as hyenas, lions and leopards. Cheetahs, giraffes, hartebeest and impala, however are missing. (n)

Fulfil your wildlife dreams on a full day 4x4 safari in the Ngorongoro Crater. This region is one of the best places in the world to view the full scope of African wildlife in their natural environment and your full day safari will allow you plenty of time to discover these magnificent sites. The Big Five, all varieties of antelope, hundreds of bird species and some of the most picturesque landscape on the planet await to be spotted as you glide through the plains, explore the bushlands and survey the forests for elusive leopards.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the star of the show and also where the majority of wildlife is to be found, while the two other volcanic craters of Olmoti and Empakai showcase stunning waterfalls and deep sparkling lakes. Don’t miss a stop at the Olduvai Gorge archaeological site, widely regarded as the cradle of mankind and the most important prehistoric site in the world.

Discover the Serengeti National Park. Created in 1951, the Serengeti (from Siringet, meaning "endless plain" in maa, the language of the Maasai) is one of the largest parks in Africa. Covering an area of 14,800 km2, it abuts the Ngorongoro to the east and the Masai Mara (Kenya) to the north. This is a magical place both for the beauty and diversity of the landscapes (plains, acacia savannah, hills, large forested areas) and for the variety of animals. The Serengeti National Park is home to a considerable wildlife population in all seasons: gazelles, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, jackals, warthogs, monkeys ... all are gathered here. Elephants, hippos, crocodiles are also among the main residents of the park. Over 500 species of birds have been identified including ostriches, bustards and secretary birds.
The park is also famous for its many predators: more than a thousand lions, hundreds of cheetahs, many hyenas and some leopards have been recorded. If the lions are more visible near the rivers (especially near the Seronera River), cheetahs and hyenas are more at home in the plains.

Ballon Safari
500 USD / PersYour experience starts with a briefing by our guides, the night before the flight and signing the waiver form. Our guide will pick you from your camp / lodge early morning (4am -5am) to arrive at our launch area by approximately 6am, giving you enough time to enjoy some hot Tanzanian coffee with homemade cookies, access to a clean toilet, and Free Wi-Fi. During this time the Pilot will brief you on the safety measures, launch & landing procedure, and what to expect. We plan take off at about 6:30am subject to weather. The basket is on its side while you board and will stand up right just before taking off.
Just after you elevate from the ground, you most probably will enjoy a great African sunrise (depending on weather). During the flight you will have a birds eye uninterrupted view of the vast plains of Serengeti, and you will understand why they call it endless plains. The pilot will try to spot wildlife for you and lower the balloon for better viewing. He may also rise the balloon for better speed / direction and also for some amazing views. The flight usually lasts 1 hour +/- 15mins depending on the weather. You can still enjoy hot coffee during the flight.
Landing really depends on the landscape of the area and the wind speeds. The basket could have few bumps before halting, and / or tip over, but most of the time it is a smooth and soft as the flight it self. Once you disembark, you will enjoy a traditional balloon celebration with a little history on how the tradition came to be.
After this you will be driven to our carefully selected bush breakfast area, warmly welcomed by our team to enjoy a scrumptious plated breakfast. Be sure to give us any dietary requirements before hand so we can cater for you.
After your breakfast, you will be issued with your certificates and then returned to the Visitors Centre or nearest airstrip to meet up with your guide to continue with your safari.
Dar es Salaam City tour
146 USD / PersThis tour provides insight on Dar es Salaam’s rich history and daily lives of people living in Tanzania. Your driver will take you through the city center and towards Mnazi Mmoja Park where you will see a replica of the Uhuru Torch Monument. The original one was erected on Mt. Your sightseeing drive will also have you visiting the Village Museum, Tinga Tinga Market, the Mwenge Carvings Market and the National Museum where you will be able to see historical and archaeological items, among them Louis and Mary Leakey’s findings from Olduvai Gorge. These human fossils displayed in the Half of Man include the skull of the so-called Nutcracker Man. Day trip Bagamoyo
339 USD / PersAt 9:00 AM, depart from Dar es Salaam city center to Bagamoyo. Bagamoyo has played various historical roles in Tanzania. Apart from being a slave and ivory port, it was also the capital of German East Africa from the late 19th century until the end of World War I. The name Bagamoyo comes from the Swahili words “bwaga moyo”, meaning “to throw down your heart”, a despair expressed by people who were captured as slaves, knowing that they faced an uncertain future. On arrival, visit the Kaole Ruins, ruins of the Shirazi trade town (13th-17th century), Old ferry on the mighty Wami River. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Bagamoyo. (Visit the Bagamoyo School of Arts for a Ngoma (traditional dance) session may be arranged upon prior notice. Extra cost applies). The tour ends in Dar es Salaam city centre around 5:30 PM.
