Day 1 : Yangon Arrival
Arrive at Yangon International Airport and be greeted by your tour guide in the arrival hall. Transfer to your hotel for a refresh.
In the evening, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda, renowned worldwide for its stunning golden stupa, which is considered the spiritual heart of Buddhist Myanmar. Believed to be 2,500 years old, the central stupa is surrounded by numerous intricately decorated buildings and statues. The pagoda is a vibrant place where locals pray and make offerings, providing a captivating experience to observe daily life.
Overnight in Yangon
Day 2 : Yangon – Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay (B / - / -)
Fly from Yangon to Mandalay. Upon arrival, drive to the Ayeyarwady River and board a private local boat to Mingun, located 11 km northwest of Mandalay. Mingun is home to the unfinished Mingun Pagoda, a monumental brick structure towering 50 meters above the river. Enjoy the boat trip, which offers a colorful view of local life along the riverbanks.
Visit the Mingun Pahtotawgyi and the Mingun Bell, the world’s largest intact hanging bronze bell. Explore the Hsinbyume Pagoda, built in 1816 by King Bagyidaw as a representation of Mt. Meru’s cosmological design, before returning to Mandalay

Overnight in Mandalay
Day 3 : Mandalay – Amarapura – Mandalay (B / - / -)
After breakfast, drive to Amarapura, known as the “City of Immortality,” located 11 km south of Mandalay. Start with a visit to Mahagandayon Monastery, where approximately 1,000 monks take their last meal of the day around 10:15-10:30 AM, as they fast until the next morning. Next, explore a local silk weaving workshop. Continue to U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge at 1.6 km. In the afternoon, visit Maha Muni Pagoda, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site in Myanmar.
Next, see how gold leaf is beaten into thin wafers used to adorn Mandalay’s holy images at a local workshop. Visit Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the “world’s largest book,” containing 729 small stupas with Buddhist scriptures inscribed on marble slabs. End your day with a panoramic view of Mandalay from Mandalay Hill.
Overnight in Mandalay
Day 4 : Mandalay – Kalaw overland (B / - / -)
After breakfast, drive from Mandalay to Kalaw (approx. 8 hours). Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Kalaw, perched on the western edge of the Shan Plateau, maintains a peaceful, colonial-era ambiance with a diverse mix of Shan, Indian Muslim, Bamar, and Nepali communities. The town’s mosques, pagodas, and churches stand as a testament to its harmonious blend of ethnicities and religions.
Overnight in Kalaw
Day 5 : Kalaw – Nyaung Shwe – Inle Lake (B / - / -)
Begin your day with a visit to Kalaw’s local market, where you can browse stalls selling dried fruits and local liqueurs. Then, transfer to Nyaung Shwe and board a private long-tail boat to explore the scenic Inle Lake, which stretches over 20 km long and more than 10 km wide. The lake, situated 875 meters above sea level, is surrounded by high hills and offers a tranquil experience. Visit Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, known for its extensive collection of Buddha images.
Continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in southern Shan State, where five gilded images are carried around the lake during the annual Inle Boat Procession (usually in September/October). Stop at Mine Thauk Bridge, where half of Maing Thauk village is on stilts over the water, linked by a 450-yard wooden bridge. If time allows, visit Pauk Par village to see a cheroot (Burmese cigar) workshop.

Overnight in Inle/Nyaung Shwe
Day 6 : Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon (B / - / -)
Transfer to Heho Airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, known for its 66-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Next, explore Kandawgyi Lake, offering a peaceful escape and excellent photo opportunities of Karaweik Hall and Shwedagon Pagoda. Drive to The Secretariat building for a heritage tour, where you can capture private photo opportunities.
In the evening, take a stroll along the Yangon River to witness the busy harbor area, from where ferries depart for Pathein in the Delta and upcountry towns along the Ayeyarwady River.
