OVERVIEW

Mayan Culture is one of the fascinating cultures of the world, and this tour wants to help you explore it with four days of amazing adventures in search of ancient history and astonishing natural beauty. Among the so-called pre-Columbian civilizations, the Mayans are the greatest enigma for historians: a civilization so flourishing despite large technological gaps, but it has disappeared in very little time and unclear circumstances.

Moreover, the extraordinary knowledge of the stars and arithmetic, cast an aura of mystery on the Maya that still fascinates scholars. While all around the world, Empires and cultures arose and collapsed that in one way or another came into contact with each other, in what is now called Latin America a parallel world developed, unknown to the rest of the world until 1492 (year of the landing of Christopher Columbus), made up of people who prospered for centuries and gave birth to thriving civilizations. Among these "pre-Columbian" cultures (that is, already existing before the arrival of Columbus), the most enigmatic is certainly that of the Maya, a population from the North around 2000 BC who abandoned the nomadic lifestyle and settled in the area included between Yucatan (Mexico) and today's Guatemala. Take the chance to learn all about this unique wonderful mysterious culture with this tour!
