Day 1 : Arrival in Sandakan (- / - / D)
Arrival at Sandakan Airport, and transfer to the MY Nature Resort. Upon arrival, check in and spend the remaining day free at leisure.
18:00 hours : Observe flying squirrels in action at MY Nature Resort’s Flying Squirrel Platform. Enjoy dinner at the Resort.
After dinner, proceed on a guided night walk in search of nocturnal wildlife at the MY Nature Resort.

Day 2 : Sandakan – Abai Village (B / L / D)
Enjoy breakfast at the Resort. Check out.
09:00h,Transfer to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center. At this center, rescued Orang Utan (Pongo Pygmaeus), often orphaned and young, are rehabilitated and eventually released back into their natural habitat.
Note: The camera fees at Sepilok (MYR10.00/camera/video camera) is not included in the package price.
Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform, amidst Borneo’s tropical lowland dipterocarp rainforest.
10:00h,Observe the Orang Utan, man’s closest Great Ape relative, during their daily morning feeding hour. Conclude your visit at the Outdoor Nursery, where juvenile Orang Utan are encouraged to playfully learn and practice their climbing skills.
Next up, visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, which aims to improve the living conditions of rescued and confiscated sun bears (Helarctos Malayanus).
Daily rations are provided for extra sustenance to the often undernourished rescued animals, which are slowly redeveloping their natural instincts and behaviors inside a 6 acres enclosed forest reserve land.
11:15h, Transfer to the jetty in Sandakan for a scheduled boat transfer to the Abai Jungle Lodge nearby Abai Village.
Note: The boat transfer from Sandakan to the Abai Jungle Lodge is always on SIC/Join-in basis.
12:00h, Embark on a 1-hour boat journey from the Sulu Sea at Sandakan Bay and up the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary to the Abai Jungle Lodge, passing by scenic mangrove forests, lush green tropical lowland and dipterocarp rainforests, small picturesque stilt villages and palm oil estate lands. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy lunch at the Abai Jungle Restaurant.
16:30h, Embark on a safari boat cruise in search of wildlife until the sun sets. Enjoy a cup of coffee as dusk falls, and continue the cruise while myriads of fire flies appear to illuminate the tree lines along the river banks. Return to the Abai Jungle Lodge for dinner. After dinner, experience the “Jungle by Night” at Abai Jungle Lodge’s nature boardwalk. Search for birds, snakes, insects and other wildlife with our nature guide. Spend the remaining evening free at leisure.

Day 3 : Abai Village (B / L / D)
Wake up by the calls of nature. 06:30 hours
Early morning, take a river trip to the Pitas Oxbow Lake to search for more birds and wildlife.
08:00h, Enjoy breakfast at the “Abai Jungle Platform”. Spend some time free at leisure or walk around the “Nature Boardwalk”.
12:00h Visit the nearby Abai village and learn about their way of life. You will have the option to enjoy a simple lunch arranged by the villagers at the village or return to the lodge for lunch.Spend some time free at leisure at the lodge.
16:30h Late afternoon, another river cruise to search for more wildlife.
19:30h Enjoy dinner at “Abai Jungle Restaurant”. Spend the remaining day free at leisure.
Overnight Abai Forest Lodge
Day 4 : Abai Village – Sukau (B / L / D)
08:00h Enjoy breakfast in the relaxing surrounding. Spend some time free at leisure, or walk around the “Nature Boardwalk” before your check out.
10:00h Cruise up-stream to Sukau and keep a lookout for primates especially the wild orang utan, birds, pygmy elephant and other wildlife.
12:00h Arrive at Sukau, and check in at the Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Enjoy lunch at the lodge, and spend the remaining day free at leisure.
16:30h Late afternoon, take a river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return to the lodge for dinner.
19:30h Enjoy dinner at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Spend the remaining day free at leisure.

06:30h Early morning, take a river trip to the oxbow lake to observe wildlife.
09:00h Enjoy breakfast at the Jetty, facing the Kinabatangan River.
12:30h Visit the nearby Sukau village. You will have the option to enjoy a simple lunch arranged at the villager’s house or return to the lodge for lunch. Spend some time free at leisure.
16:30h Late afternoon, another river cruise down the Menanggul tributary, in search of more wildlife.
19:30h Enjoy dinner at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Spend the remaining day free at leisure.

Day 6 : Sukau - Sandakan (B / - / -)
06:30 hours Enjoy breakfast at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge and check-out.
07:30 hours Transfer to Sandakan by boat.

10:30 hours Transfer to Sandakan Airport for your departure flight.
