DAY 1 : LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL
Greetings at the airport and transfer to the hotel (without guide). Explore Luang Prabang at your leisure.
Overnight in LUANG PRABANG
DAY 2 : TUK TUK CITY TOUR (B / - / -)
Start at 08:30am
Enjoy a leisurely TukTuk around the told quarters of Luang Prabang starting with the Morning Market, full of fresh produce and exotic delicacies from farmers coming from small provincial villages to get a real taste of local life.
Riding along the city main street, we will visit the National Museum once home to the Laotian Royal Family, it is famous as Luang Prabang’s main boulevard.
Continue to the picturesque stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, followed by a visit to Wat Xienthong, “The Temple of the Golden City” considered the finest in all of Laos.
Get the heart-rate going with a small hike up to the Phou Si Mountain for a breathtaking view of the entire city.
End the day with a walk through the vibrant Night Market, a must-see in Luang Prabang.

DAY 3 : KUANG SI WATERFALLS – MEKONG CRUISE (B / - / -)
Get a glimpse of the real Laotian daily life with a visit to the bustling and chaotic local market, Phousi Market.
Travel by car to reach our main highlight of the day, the multi-tiered turquoise-colored Kuang Si Waterfall, deemed one of the most beautiful waterfalls in South-east Asia. Here you can also visit the Bears Rescue Centre to see Asiatic bears rescued from illegal poaching and trading.
Get to see the fascinating world of Lao textiles come alive with a visit to Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre.
TIP: Stop at Buffalo Dairy for a delicious homemade ice-cream made from water Buffalo milk!
Rest of the afternoon as leisure.
What better way to enjoy Luang Prabang’s scenery than a cruise along the Mekong River? Embark on a scenic sunset boat ride on Khopfa boat.
Overnight in LUANG PRABANG
DAY 4 : LUANG PRABANG – VANG VIENG (B / - / -)
Wake up before dawn to observe a long standing sacred Lao tradition and Buddhist ritual “Tak Bat” (Almsgiving), where monks dressed in saffron-coloured robes line up to receive food offerings from devout Buddhists along the street. While it is possible to observe this special tradition, tourist are expected to be respectful and be mindful that it must be observed in silence and peace.
After breakfast, we will depart from Luang Prabang to head to the small town of Vang Vieng. This town is famous for untouched natural scenery and is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.
Stopping by along the way for a visit at Ban Nadao Village to enjoy a rural walk through luscious green rice paddies and impressive irrigation canals surrounded with towering mountains, perfect for those photo moments. Arrive in Vang Vieng where free leisure can be used to relax or explore the town.
Overnight in LUANG PRABANG
DAY 5 : VANG VIENG – LEISURE AND DISCOVER (B / L / -)
We’ll depart from Vang Vieng crossing the Nam Song River over two small bridges. A first stop will be made for a hike to enjoy a scenic view over the valley
2 options:
- “Pha Ngeung” around 45 min hike to reach the view point
- “Pha Hon Kham cliff” for the more adventurous with a steep hike to the top of the cliff (around 30 min up).
We’ll then continue our journey on a dirt road passing through rice paddies and visiting local villages where our guide will explain to you about culture and local tradition. (stop recommend at the Hmong village of Ban Naxom). Enjoy a local picnic lunch along the way.
During the afternoon we’ll visit the Blue Lagoon 3 where a fresh swim is recommended; from here we’ll continue our loop with photo stops. Back in Vang Vieng enjoy scenic boat tour along the Nam Song river before get back to your hotel.
Overnight in VANG VIENG
DAY 6 : VANG VIENG - VIENTIANE (B / - / -)
Today we will drive to Vientiane, capital and the largest city of Laos and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere unlike the typical hustling and bustling cities of Southeast Asia. This historic old french colonial quarter beguiles glittering temples and statues, sleepy tuk tuk drivers, wandering Buddhist monks and boulevards lined with frangipanis.
A tour will take you to discover the charms of Vientiane, a quiet but endearing capital city. Our Easily explored, we will visit the major sights of the capital starting with Wat Sisaket, famous for its cloister wall housing thousands of Buddha images followed by a visit to the Royal Temple of Wat Prakeo, the Temple of Emerald Buddha.
The tour continues with a visit to Patuxai Victory Gate, an imposing arch (reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris) built as a monument to Laos’ resilience and independence. We then head on to see the iconic Golden That Luang Stupa, deemed as the most important national monument in Laos and a sacred symbol of Buddhist religion.
After a busy day exploring the city, take advantage of the cool breeze and take a walk along the banks of the Mekong River en-route to the Night Market and enjoy the stunning backdrop of the sun lazily sinking into the Mekong river. Witness the whole area come alive as sellers begin setting up their stalls selling all manners of merchandise that make great souvenirs and mementos.

DAY 7 : DEPARTURE (B / - / -)
