DAY 1 : VIENTIANE - ARRIVAL

Located on the banks of the Mekong River, Vientiane seamlessly blends traditional Lao culture with modern influences, offering visitors a glimpse into the nation's rich history. DAY 2 : VIENTIANE (B / - / -)
On an exploration of the capital Vientiane, you will visit key landmarks, including Wat Sisaket, the city's oldest temple adorned with numerous Buddha statues, and Wat Prakeo, once the home of the Jade Buddha.
En route to the iconic gold-covered symbol of the city, That Luang, you'll pause at the Phatuxay Victory Monument, reminiscent of Paris' Arc de Triomphe. In the afternoon, you'll venture to the Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan) on the city's outskirts, featuring over 200 Buddhist and Hindu sculptures created in 1958 by a Laotian shaman. These sculptures, many oversized and made of concrete, offer a striking contrast to the serene Mekong River surroundings.
Upon returning to Vientiane, your visit will include the Ong Teu temple, followed by a potential trip to the Talat Sao local market (if time allows), showcasing a diverse array of locally crafted handicrafts if time allows.

DAY 3 : VIENTIANE – LUANG PRABANG (B / - / -)
In the morning, transfer to the train station and travel by express train (approx. 2 hours) to Luang Prabang. On arrival, transfer to the town.
You begin your exploration by visiting the vegetable market and then proceed to the former royal palace, now transformed into the national museum. Both are situated in the historic part of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO-protected area renowned as one of the best-preserved traditional town centers in Southeast Asia. The city's serene and natural charm is enchanting, with a blend of parks, gardens, and historical structures like Wat Xieng Thong, celebrated for its scenic location and impressive architecture. Your itinerary also includes the remarkable stupas of Wat Visun and Wat Aham.
In the late afternoon, you ascend Phousi hill, adorned with a gilded stupa offering a breathtaking view of the city, its surroundings, and the Mekong River at sunset. The night market awaits, featuring a collection of handmade textiles crafted by the city's residents or the hill tribes from the nearby areas.

DAY 4 : LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVES AND BOTANICAL GARDEN (B / - / -)
Embark on a boat, allowing you to appreciate the wonderfully tranquil landscape along the banks as you journey upstream on the Mekong.
Upon arrival, you disembark at the Pak Ou cave temple, accessed via a stone staircase. Thousands of Buddha figures, placed by believers over the centuries, create a mysterious atmosphere in the caves illuminated by weak sunlight. During the return journey, you make a stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, known for distilling a special type of rice liquor. A brief stroll leads you to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek, two villages renowned for their handmade paper.
In the afternoon, your exploration continues with a visit to the exceptionally beautiful Luang Prabang botanical garden, providing you with a comprehensive insight into the country's diverse flora.
Overnight in LUANG PRABANG
DAY 5 : LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SI WATERFALL - DEPARTURE (B / - / -)
On this day trip, you will drive to the Kuang Si waterfall, renowned as one of the most beautiful in Laos. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop at several villages. Once at the waterfall, you can refresh yourself in the pools of clear water or explore the surrounding forest before returning to Luang Prabang.
In the afternoon, a visit to a noteworthy butterfly farm is on the agenda for you. Following this, you will be transferred to the airport.
