OVERVIEW
Discovering the provinces Artemisa and Pinar del Rio by E-bike. Spend 2 days on the carfree island with crystal clear water and incredible beaches, while enjoying the cuisine and silence, and feel like in paradise. Experience the highlights of the beautiful region off the beaten track.
Start your “pure-nature” trip into the oldest biosphere reserve in Cuba – Sierra del Rosario – in Havana. You arrive at your accommodation one day before the E-bike tour starts. During the journey you have a maximum of 2 nights at the same accommodation, so please arrange your luggage accordingly. We will arrange the transport of your luggage to the next accommodation. We accommodate our guests only in accommodations we have tested before. Please keep in mind that Cuba has its charm of luxury rather from a historical perspective and we therefore maybe have to accept compromises. Accommodations might be simple but functional. Our goal is that you can always start our trips relaxed with the invitation to fully engage with your experiences with the e-bikes, Cuba and our team.

DAY 2 : HAVANA – LAS TERRAZAS (B / L / D)
In the morning pick-up by your guide at your casa. After a short introduction to the bikes and adjustments to each individual height, you will receive some general information about the roads, our signs and rules of Cuban traffic. Now you are ready to begin our discovery-tour!
You start the tour from Havana towards Las Terrazas. You discover the north coast of Artemisa side by side with American classic cars, Camionetas, Bicitaxi, tractors and horsedrawn carriages. You pass the airport of Baracoa, stop at unknown but beautiful bays, cross the city of Mariel with its special development zone where the Cuban government tries to attract international conglomerates and see from the distance the largest container port of the Caribbean. As a precaution recharge batteries during lunch because depending on the wind conditions the energy consumption can be quite high. But don’t worry we also have spare batteries with us.
Continue your way to Cabaña and from there via almost car-free roads towards San Juan to our final destination Las Terrazas. The route becomes more demanding and hillier. At the same time the landscape becomes more and more extraordinary. In the evening you reach your accommodation being surrounded by rivers, waterfalls, lakes and small mountains as well as an impressive flora and fauna. In the evening joint dinner.

DAY 3 : LAS TERRAZAS – SOROA – SAN DIEGO DE LOS BAÑOS (B / L / D)
In the morning on to Soroa while crossing the nature park of Las Terrazas with increasing altitude. Even being supported by an electric motor it is possible that you need to dismount the e-bike. Anyway the view, the Mojito and the mountain bathtub will compensate these efforts. In the nature park more than 70 different bird species and 850 different plant species can be found. Furthermore 11% of the plants and 50% of the animals can be only found in this region.
At midday continue towards the Autopista. You will probably be cycling some kilometres on a freeway for the first time in your life, before leaving it in San Cristobal to breathe again the life of the people in the countryside. From Santa Cruz de los Pinos head towards San Diego de los Baños a once forgotten but since a view years rediscovered spa resort with many mineral springs. Today’s accommodation will be located near the cave “Cueva de los Portales” where Che Guevara supposedly had his secret command centre during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis for 30 days. Joint dinner.

Pinar del Rio became one of the richest cities in Cuba due to the tobacco trade with Europe. There is much to see while cruising through the provincial capital. Accommodation with breakfast : Casa Particular
DAY 10 : HAVANA - DEPARTURE (B / - / - )

We are happy to take care of any transfers to the airport to the bus station a classic car trip into the country or maybe you want to do another tour with us!
A remark concerning the flexibility. We know that our E-bike tours do not offer much space for individual destinations, the days are really busy, but you always have the opportunity to coordinate your wishes with us. Whether you want to enjoy the beach for longer, visit a theatre or a museum, continue the tour for any reason with another vehicle or whatever you have on your mind, we will always show you as much flexibility as possible and try everything, to adapt your stay also according to your wishes. We certainly will not always succeed, but mostly.
